Here’s a snapshot for Computer Science across UCs (dataset year 2023, fetched on 2025-12-25):

Same major label. Different selectivity and different GPA bands. That’s why you don’t plan off a single campus-wide rate.
How to use “admission probability” the right way
Treat an estimate as a app metric, not a prediction:
- Directionally: is your plan moving toward stronger odds?
- Comparatively: which targets are realistic vs risky?
- Actionably: what specific changes improve your position?

- It cannot replace eligibility (ASSIST requirements still rule).
- It cannot fix a broken timeline (deadlines are hard gates).

No. It means you need a stronger strategy: better targeting, better execution, and backup options.
